In August 2022, my best friend and I aligned our schedules, circled a day, blocked our calendars and hit the road for the trip that came to be affectionately known by us as Utah 2.0, since we had our first Utah trip planned for 2020 and it was cancelled. Virginia is magnificent, but I’m going to cut right to the chase on this post. We did about five hikes in one week, and they were all beautiful, but hands down our favorite was Old Rag Mountain, part of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park.
