So here’s the deal… I KNOW fruits and vegetables are healthy, and I don’t mind them, but honestly, to just have a side of strawberries with my breakfast is something that I will never do. And if I have berries as a snack or for dessert, it will be with one of those dessert tarts and a ton of whipped cream – YUM! Or, when I do finally decide to have that healthy fresh fruit I bought, there is a good chance it would be half rotten already. Needless to say I never really ate a lot of healthy fruits – until I started making smoothies. This is why I love them so much: I buy a bag of frozen fruits and when I feel like something sweet or a light meal, I will grab a handful and toss them in my Ninja. Or I will add some protein powder in the morning for a healthy breakfast. It takes virtually no effort and very little time. Keep reading for my top three smoothie recipes! I have had my Ninja Nutri-Pro Compact Personal Blender for years and I love it for smoothies. I use mostly frozen fruits because I can store them longer than fresh fruit and they make my smoothies super thick. I eat them with a spoon, its almost like a fruit sorbet. My Ninja tackles frozen fruit with no problem and a few minutes later I have a thick, icy smoothie!
